The short version
The tools on SR Tools run in your browser. The information you type into them — business details, customer details, invoice lines, logos — is not transmitted to us and we have no copy of it.
Without an account (the default)
The invoice generator keeps your current invoice, your saved invoices and a couple of preferences in your browser's local storage so your work survives a page refresh. This data never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time by deleting saved invoices in the tool or by clearing site data in your browser settings.
With an account (optional)
If you choose to create an account, invoices you explicitly save are copied to our database so you can open them on another device. That copy includes what is on the invoice: your business details, your customer's details, the line items and any logo you uploaded. We store your email address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself) and the dates you registered and last signed in.
Invoices you do not save are never uploaded, even while signed in. You can delete any saved invoice from the tool, which removes it from our database as well. To close an account entirely, email us and we will delete the account and everything in it.
We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or email you marketing.
Counting
The site counts how many invoices are created and how many PDFs are downloaded, so we know whether the tools are useful. Each count records a date, an event name and a number — nothing about the invoice, no customer details and no IP address.
What we collect
Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which is normal for any website and is used for security and troubleshooting.
If analytics are in use on this site, they are configured to measure page traffic, not individuals, and never receive the contents of any tool.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to measure and target ads, in line with their own privacy policies. They have no access to the contents of any tool on this site. Where required by law, a consent notice is shown before non-essential cookies are set.
Children
These tools are intended for business use by adults and are not directed at children.
Your rights
Without an account, the tools hold your content on your own device, so you control it directly: clearing your browser data deletes it permanently. With an account you can delete individual invoices in the tool, or ask us to delete the account and all its data through the contact page. You may also request a copy of what an account holds.
Changes
If this policy changes — for example when a new tool or advertising partner is added — the updated version will be posted on this page.
